It's real now!

I came home to a "Sorry we missed you" note from DHL... they are delivering my UK Visa! I should have it by tomorrow!

In other news.... my friends and I booked our flight tonight! SAY WHAT! We fly out September 15th. 25 days from now. I think we got a pretty good deal at $505.16 a ticket. We are going to pay for one extra bag of luggage for $100 each. I HAVE to have my clothes ;)  The countdown is on!

Just one step closer!

Today, I received notice that my UK Visa has been approved and issued! It should arrive in 5 business days. This is becoming more and more real every day! I am getting so excited, but am still constantly thinking about the million things I have on my to-do list before I depart. Nevertheless, I can't wait to embark on this exciting life-changing adventure!

Hello there!

I'm going to use this blog as a place where friends and family from home can keep up with my latest "edventures" - get it, education + adventures = edventures? I'm going to be moving to North West London, Great Britain in about a month's time, and thought I would start this blog now to document my thoughts, feelings, and maybe provide some tips for others who are going considering teaching in the UK in the future.
